The Gyronauts are a troupe of glitter glistening fire wielding space invaders, armed to the teeth with flames, rainbows, spandex, and HOOPS. We are a skilled collective of professional circus stars guaranteed to blow your mind with our godlike feats of sensual wonderment. Specializing in "hula" hoop dance, but also dabbling in poi, staff, rings, and wand, The Gyronauts have been featured entertainment for high class clubs, desert rave festivals, nonprofit fundraisers, sold out concerts, and citywide parades since 2006.
With two home bases in Austin, TX and New York City, NY, The Gyronauts are currently invading the Southwest and Northeast with majestic and formidable glam-rock-your-socks off space age antics and no good low down BurlyQ getting down. Utlizing electrified glowy LED hoops and dangerously smoldering tools of fire, The Gyronauts are sure to make every last jaw drop with their silly, eccentric, and day glow fantastic antics of amazement.

The Gyronauts currently have two home bases-- AUSTIN, TX and NYC, NY. They are available in BOTH places to provide KICK ASS entertainment for your next event--be it burlesque or baptism. We've got choreography! We've got sex appeal! We've got youth, rhinestones, and body paint! We've got incredible improvisation skills! We can lead groups in learning how to hoop! We can provide up to 6 performers (minimum 2 for fire)! We've got costumes galore and can definitely whip up some bedazzled spandex or fire retardant chaps to suit the artistic vision of your next event.
And remember--us 'nauts don't just hoop! We are SKILLED in the art of poi (fire/LED), rope dart (fire/LED), staff (fire/LED), flow wand (fire/LED), and tiny rings of firey death (fire) as well. We've also got the connections to find that DJ/contortionist/silks/tightrope/juggling artist for your party as well.

The Gyronauts proudly spin LED Hoops from Cosmic Hooper's Emporium of Bliss .
Why? Many reasons. We love Cosmic Hooper's LED Hoops because of their weight (nice and light for fast paced performance settings), brightness (blinding!!!), convience (recharable via a wall plug), customizability (choose your own combo of strobe, color changing, and solids) and PRICE! (literally half the cost of our other favorite model, the infamous PSI).
In the past we've bought other brands (the "best of the best" grandaddy of glows from psihoops.com costs $270 plus shipping a circle). We've played with other cheaper models (in terms of being appropriate for professional shows at advanced hooper skills, the visual effect and feel just doesn't cut it.) We've tried to make our own (utter diasaster). The final word is Cosmic Hooper reigns supreme. Cosmic Hooper's LED Hoops are brighter than most expensive ones on the market AND they have a much better hoopability and look than anything we had the ability to make at home or play with for cheaper. Besides making your jaws drop with our fabulous and terrific amount of skillz, we also desire to blow your minds with our handmade hoops. Tash, Misty, and Kat are hoop making machines housed in the bodies of a crafty glitterfied Brooklyn transplant, earth spirit local leggy blonde, and a brazenly bold pink vixen (respectively). Combined, we come armed with 4.5 years of making HUNDREDS of hoops for kids, adults, professionals, and the gyratingly challenged in NYC, Austin, Georgetown, and New England.
Currently hoops are only being delivered to the Austin and Georgetown, TX areas. Hoops can be picked up at your convience at the Just Your Style Salonin Georgetown or delivered into your hands via Tash's pick-em-up truck in Austin. And if you ask real nice, we just might ship something for you.
Hoops come in a wide array of sizes, weights, and designs and range anywhere from $20-40.
